My full name is Hala Atallah Elia Zabaneh. The youngest of four. I was born to my parents Janet and Atallah Zabaneh in Jordan’s Capital city of Amman, November 3 rd, 1981.
As a young child I lived in an artistic environment, and was influenced by my siblings work, especially my sister, as well as my parents’ previous paintings from years ago. Though one day, at the ripe age of fourteen, during Arabic class I started drawing one of my classmates. Her encouraging feed back taught me to start drawing even more and more, and many of my friends started bringing their pictures for me to draw, and that was how I started doing portraits. After three years of rigorous practice in drawing and coloring with different mediums, I started to develop an interest in pursuing art as a future profession.
Of course that was not the only career that I have considered to pursue as well. Movies, Television shows, and cartoons have also influence me in many ways, especially after watching the X files in my teens. I started dreaming of directing my own movies, or becoming part of a movie production crew.
All this has brought me to Canada where it is possible to pursue such a career. After graduating from high school I immediately moved to Camrose, Alberta where I have started my first BFA in Art. But my craving for studying Movie Production and Graphic Design has brought me to the University of Lethbridge where I enrolled in the New Media program. Since then I have been learning new skills for Graphic Design, Movie Production, Music, and Net Art. As I continued my degree I registered into a screenplay course where I started writing my own story, but my story was very detailed that my professor suggested I should continue writing it, but as a novel. Two years since then I have continued to do so, and hopefully will be published in the future.
In short, my love for Art, Writing, and Movie making is undivided, and I shall never give it up till the very last breath I draw in.
